And he sleeps!

We had a record breaking night last night! Smith slept from 6:30-4am!! He didn't wake up once! I woke up about 1 and looked at him on the monitor and went right back to sleep (which rarely happens for me). I was so happy for him! I let him talk about 15 min and then cry for 15 min and then I fed him and he went back to sleep until 6:20. What a great night! I hope he remembers this tonight.

Since Smith is almost 5 months old I figured I should put down his 4 month old stats:

weight-15lbs 12oz (75%)
height- 25 3/4 (75%)

He is a big boy! We started him on rice cereal last week and seems to like it pretty well. He is just so sweet. He rarely fusses and loves to smile. He is rolling from tummy to back and can get half way over from back to tummy. He loves to stand when you are holding him up. I think it is time to get him an exersaucer because he isn't crazy about sitting in his rocker anymore. The days fly by and he seems to learn new things everyday. He has even started taking one, one hour nap most days. I feel like good sleep is upon us and he is starting to get it (although Sunday night was terrible I am going to choose to believe he is making big progress, haha).

Cousins!

How cute are these two??? Smith and Will are exactly 18 months apart (minus one day) and this picture makes me wonder what kind of trouble these two are going to get into??? It makes me smile so big to think they are going to get to grow up together!!

Crying and Chicago

One day I will look back on all of this and think, how silly I was to cry my eyes out when my baby was crying to try to go to sleep. But right now, it just plain stinks. Everyone knows Smith is not a sleeper and he has never been. Ty and I decided it was time for little man to try to sleep and it has been terrible. He cries so hard he has the "crying hiccups" and just doesn't settle down. Ty finally went in after 30 minutes because he couldn't catch his breathe. It is just awful. UGH. I have not slept more than 3 total hours a night and it is really catching up to me now...I have hit the wall. I'm just not sure if this approach is going to work for him. We are at a crossroads.

Anyway...We just got back from a week in Chicago. Ty was out of town and my sista was going to be by herself so I decided to drive back with her on Memorial Day and then fly home. We were making great time until we hit Lakeshore drive and then we were stuck for almost 2 hours. Yuck. But, we had a great week and Smith got to see Chicago for the first time. It will more than likely be our last trip up there for a long time. They sold their house and are excepting to close on June 30th, then moving to Nashville! They put an offer in on a house and are hoping to come to an agreement real soon. I hope it works because it is in a great location and has good bones. I am still in shock that they are moving here. I honestly cannot believe it! I'm beyond excited but it still doesn't seem real to me. I actually got sad the other day when I realized they would be leaving their awesome neighborhood but then I remembered I can see them everyday if I want. It is bittersweet for them though because of the great friends they have made and the amazing place they live. I hope Nashville is just as great for them and they learn to love it. Kristen and I have talked about being neighbors for years but never really thought it would happen and now it is. Amazing is all I can say!!
